Grading & Results
What Results Can Participants See?
Learn how result visibility works in ExamLive. Show nothing, the final score only, or a full question-by-question review.
Where to set it
In Settings › Experience, the Results Visibility selector offers three levels. It controls what people can see once you release results; it doesn't release anything by itself. That step is covered in Publish Results.
The three levels
- Don't show results: they never see their score or their answers.
- Show score only: the final score without any question breakdown.
- Full review: the score plus every question with its correct answer and the feedback you wrote per question.
Choosing well
- Formal assessments where answer-sharing is a concern: Show score only.
- Practice and learning-focused tests where understanding mistakes matters: Full review.
- Scores you don't plan to share at all: Don't show results.
Changing it later
This setting stays editable even after the test is published, so switching levels updates what already-released submissions show from then on.
