How Do I Manage Account Settings and Notifications?

Learn how account settings work in ExamLive. Manage your profile and security, then choose email, in-app, or push notifications.

Getting there

Open your avatar menu and choose Account; team members find it in the sidebar at the bottom left, participants in the top right of their header. The account page has three sections: Profile, Security, and Notifications. Participants land on the same page from their dashboard.

Profile and security

Profile covers your name, email address, and photo. Security covers your password, sign-in methods such as Google or a passkey, and session management. Both are standard self-service screens; changes apply everywhere you sign in.

Notification settings

The Notifications section controls what reaches you and through which channel:

  • Email Notifications: updates and reminders delivered by email.
  • In-App Notifications: alerts while you're using the app.
  • Push Notifications: alerts even when the app is closed. Your browser has to permit them; if it's blocking them, the page links to instructions for turning them back on.

Below the channels, Notify me about... lists each event with its own switch, trimmed to your role: everyone sees published tests, group changes, and invitations; participants also see released results and new group assignments; admins and members also see live-session alerts. Turn off anything you don't need.

Above the channels, a Stay in the Loop checkbox opts you into marketing emails: tips, product updates, and test reminders. It's on only if you picked Yes, keep me updated during setup, and this is where you switch it off whenever you like.

Non-participants also see a Billing entry here with a button that opens the external billing portal.
