## Creating your account

Go to [examlive.net](https://examlive.net) and click **Get Started**. You can sign up with an email address and password, or continue with **Google**. You'll confirm your email with a code sent to your inbox.

After signing up, you're taken straight into setup.

## Choosing your path

Setup starts with one question: how would you like to get started?

- **Create a Test**: set up an organization and create tests for other people. Pick this if you're the one running things.
- **Join a Test**: enter the code or link for someone else's test. See [Join a Test](/guides/join-test).

### Accepting a pending invitation

If someone invited you before you signed up, a green banner sits at the top of every setup screen: **You have 1 pending invitation** (or more). Click **View invitations** to open the list.

Each entry shows the organization name with two buttons:

- **Checkmark**: accept it. A confirmation explains you'll become a member of that organization; click **Accept** to finish joining.
- **X**: decline it. Declining cannot be undone.

Once you've accepted, you're a member and can [jump straight to your dashboard](#already-in-an-organization).

### Already in an organization?

If you already belong to an organization, a small line appears below the two cards: **Already in an organization - Skip to dashboard**. Click **Skip to dashboard** to leave setup and land on your dashboard right away.

## Setting up an organization

Choosing **Create a Test** walks you through six short steps:

1. **Connect your Organization**: create a new organization or select an existing one.
2. **Set up your organization**: choose a terminology preset (Business, School, or Training). This changes labels throughout the app, like what a group is called or what your team members are titled, so everything reads naturally for your context. There's no setting to change this later, so pick what fits.
3. **Add members**: optional. Paste email addresses into the box, then click **Send invites** to invite them under the role chosen in the **Invite as** dropdown. Or you can skip this step by clicking **Skip for now**. See [Invite Team Members](/guides/invite-team-members).
4. **Organize people into groups**: optional, also skippable. Type a name and hit the **+** beside the field to add a group; use the three-dot menu on each one to edit or delete it. Or click **Skip for now** to move on. See [Create Groups or Classes](/guides/create-groups).
5. **Choose your plan**: stay on the Free plan and upgrade anytime, or pick Pro and start with a free trial. The trial shows when you'll be charged and notifies you before it ends. If your organization already has a subscription, this step is skipped automatically.
6. **Stay updated (optional)**: pick whether you want tips, product updates, and test reminders, then go with **Yes, keep me updated** or **No thanks**. You can switch this later from Account settings whenever you like.

Click **Launch Dashboard** to finish.
