## What pre-flight does

Opening a test brings up a pre-flight screen that confirms everything is ready before the timer starts. It shows the test title, its instructions, and who assigned it, with a checks panel alongside.

## The checks

Two things are verified:

- **Internet Connection**: answers sync to the server as you work, so the test won't start while you're offline. Reconnect and it passes.
- **Fullscreen** (only when the test requires it): click **Enter Fullscreen** to switch modes. The test can't begin until you do.

## Starting

Once the checks pass, use the start button. The test opens in fullscreen if required, and your personal countdown begins from that moment.

## When access is denied

If something is wrong on the organizer's side, the screen tells you instead of letting you in:

- **Test Not Published**: the test isn't available yet.
- **Access Restricted**: the test is limited to specific groups you're not part of.
- **Access Denied**: the link or code couldn't be verified against a test.

Each state offers ways back to your dashboard or a retry.

## Special cases

- If the availability window closed before you opened the test, you'll see a notice saying it ended before you started.
- If you already completed this test, you'll get a confirmation that your submission was received and results will appear once they're published. See [Publish Results](/guides/publish-results) for how that works.
