## How to invite someone

Open the members page from the sidebar. It has a tab for people who take tests and, if you're an organization admin, a second tab for team members.

1. Open the tab matching the kind of member you're adding. New invitations automatically get the role that matches the active tab.
2. Click the **Invite** button at the top of the page.
3. Paste one or more email addresses into the text area. Separate them with commas, spaces, or line breaks. Addresses are checked as you type, and invalid or duplicate ones are flagged.
4. Click **Send Invitation(s)**. Each person gets an email with a link to join your organization.

## Roles

There are three member roles:

- **Admins** run the organization. They manage members, billing, and every test in the organization.
- **Members** create and grade their own tests and monitor sessions.
- **Participants** take tests assigned to them and see their results; they don't manage anything.

People invited from the participants tab don't manage anything. They see the tests assigned to them and take them.

A few things worth knowing:

- Admins can invite both team members and participants; other team members can invite participants as well.
- There's currently no way to invite another admin; the admin role belongs to whoever created the organization.
- There's no option to change someone's role after they join. To give someone a different role, remove them and send a new invitation.

## Pending invitations

Use the status filter above the list to switch between **All**, **Active**, and **Pending**. Pending entries are people who were invited but haven't accepted yet.

To cancel an invitation, select its row (or several) and revoke, or open the three-dot menu and choose **Revoke Invitation**. A revoked link stops working immediately. Invitations can't be resent; send a new one instead.

## Removing someone

Open the three-dot menu on a member's row and choose the remove option. You can also select multiple rows and remove them in one go. Removed members lose access right away, and their past submissions are preserved.

To organize members into groups as you add them, see [Create Groups or Classes](/guides/create-groups).
